“Hi, I’m Brandon Delcid Rios, founder of See the World Foundation. My story begins with my parents, who immigrated to the U.S.—my mom from Mexico and my dad from Guatemala—both seeking better opportunities for our family. Their resilience has always been my inspiration.

When I was born, my right eye was completely shut. Multiple surgeries helped open it, but I was left with impaired vision. My childhood was shaped by countless doctor visits, wearing eye patches, and relying on glasses—something I still wear today.

For my family, navigating the challenges of a new country while trying to afford my extensive eye care wasn’t easy. I saw firsthand the financial and emotional toll it took on them, and it left a lasting impression on me. I know what it feels like to depend on care that can feel out of reach, and I understand the struggle families face when resources are limited but the need is urgent.

That’s why I started See the World Foundation. This isn’t just a side quest to me—it’s my heart. I want to make sure no child or family has to choose between getting the eye care they need and other necessities. Together, we can create a future where every child has the chance to see the world clearly and chase their dreams.”
